Power Minerals Limited (ASX:PNN) Santa Anna auger drilling confirms high-grade niobium and rare earths
November 11, 2025Power Minerals Limited has reported further high-grade niobium and rare earth oxide results from ongoing shallow auger drilling at the Santa Anna Project in Goiás State, central Brazil.
The latest results continue to support the company’s interpretation of a near-surface mineralised system associated with a recently identified alkaline carbonatite complex.
The work forms part of a broader multi-phase drilling program designed to define a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate for the project.
Highlights
• 1m at 1.36 percent Nb₂O₅ from 8m and 14m at 2,791ppm Nb₂O₅ from surface including 2m at 5,936ppm Nb₂O₅
• 17m at 6,895ppm TREO from surface including 5m at 13,824ppm TREO
• Multiple intercepts commence at surface, indicating minimal overburden
• RC drilling of 10,000m set to commence, with initial 2,000m planned to start in November 2025
• Drilling programs are designed to support a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate
The Santa Anna Project sits within the Goiás Alkaline Province, a region characterised by late Cretaceous magmatic activity and known occurrences of carbonatite intrusions.
Within this geological context, niobium and rare earth element mineralisation is interpreted to occur within a deeply weathered regolith profile developed over the carbonatite body.
The company has adopted a staged drilling approach, initially confirming the near-surface distribution of mineralisation through shallow auger sampling before moving to targeted reverse circulation drilling.
The new auger results build on earlier reverse circulation drilling completed during mid-2025, which delineated wide zones of niobium and rare earth element mineralisation.
The shallow drilling is being conducted on an approximate 80-metre grid pattern to establish continuity across areas of vegetation cover, where surface sampling is not feasible.
The intercepts reported, several of which begin at surface, suggest a weathering profile that has concentrated mineralisation in the upper levels of the intrusion.
Power Minerals Managing Director Mena Habib stated that the latest results align with the company’s geological model and the project’s forward plan.
“Latest results from our ongoing auger drilling at Santa Anna continue to validate our exploration model and provide confidence about the potential of this project, as we compile drill data to define a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate for the project, which we hope will be substantial.”
In parallel, preparations are underway for a 10,000m reverse circulation drill program, which is intended to test both lateral extensions and deeper regions of the carbonatite complex.
The initial 2,000m stage is expected to commence this month, with assay results and additional drilling to follow progressively.
This next phase is designed to gather the necessary density of subsurface data to support resource estimation and to evaluate the vertical extent of mineralisation beyond the shallow clay-rich horizons.
The combination of consistent near-surface grades, systematic drilling coverage, and an upcoming large-scale reverse circulation program places Santa Anna at a key transition point within the exploration cycle.
While the size, geometry, and economic potential of the mineral system will ultimately depend on the outcomes of the planned drilling and subsequent mineral resource work, the continuity of results reported to date provides a framework for further technical assessment.
The next phase of drilling and the forthcoming maiden Mineral Resource Estimate will be material milestones in determining the project’s trajectory within the broader critical minerals sector
