White Cliff has completed its first diamond drillhole at the Danvers 1 area, intersecting 91.35 metres of chalcocite and bornite-bearing copper sulphide mineralisation. The hole also confirmed the principal host rock for copper sulphides at this part of the system, providing structural and geological information that the company says will improve future drill targeting.
Additional results from the campaign include 41.5 metres at 0.87 percent copper from a hole more than 600 metres north of Danvers 1, a high-grade hit of 9.14 metres at 3.06 percent copper within that interval, and multiple copper intersections from two further drillholes stepping out to the northeast and southwest. Visual copper sulphide observations from a fourth hole cover a combined 144.45 metres of bornite and chalcocite, with assays still pending.
Across the Danvers area, White Cliff says assays have now confirmed copper mineralisation over more than 5.4 kilometres of strike, with visual observations extending the interpreted footprint a further 1.6 kilometres.
Alongside the drilling results, the company completed a WCNO conversion, receiving A$6.5 million to fund the next phase of expanded exploration at Rae.
