West African Resources Limited (ASX: WAF) | WAF hits 27m at 6.7 g/t gold 200m below M5 South UG reserve
West African Resources (ASX: WAF) has released new diamond drilling results from the M5 deposit at its producing Sanbrado Gold Operations in Burkina Faso.
The headline intercept is 27 metres at 6.7 grams per tonne gold, intersected approximately 200 metres below the current M5 South underground Ore Reserve. M5 South infill drilling returned a standout result of 29 metres at 16.4 grams per tonne gold, while M5 North infill drilling within the current Ore Reserve has now been completed.
In total, the company has drilled 24 extension holes for 16,500 metres at M5 South, 112 infill holes for 20,290 metres also at M5 South, and 45 holes for 19,634 metres at M5 North. Two underground drill rigs are currently operating, with a third planned once underground development commences later in 2026.
According to West African, these drilling results support its ongoing resource conversion program and are planned to be incorporated into its next Mineral Resource, Ore Reserve and 10-year production outlook update, scheduled for Q1 2027.
