RareX Limited (ASX:REE) | Cummins Range Metallurgical Program Delivers Strongest Results
Episode: RareX Limited (ASX: REE) Operational Update, Cummins Range Metallurgical Program
Announcement Date: 13 July 2026
RareX Limited has released new metallurgical testwork results from its 100 percent owned Cummins Range Rare Earths and Phosphate Project in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia. This episode breaks down what the results mean for investors considering the stock.
Key results covered in this episode:
SGS Lakefield flotation testwork achieved a 9.5 times upgrade in total rare earth oxide grade, producing a concentrate grading 25.15 percent TREO from a 2.85 percent TREO feed sample. A rougher concentrate graded 6.41 percent TREO at 74.6 percent recovery. Mineralogical analysis identified monazite liberation as the primary constraint on recovery, giving the technical team a clear target for Phase Two optimisation.
Gega Elements completed gallium extraction testwork using acid bake and water leaching, achieving near complete gallium extraction. Ion exchange resin testing recovered more than 93 percent of gallium from purified pregnant leach solution. The ore carries monazite gallium concentrations of 5,538 parts per million. Scandium extraction through the same process reached between 89.7 and 93 percent.
Biological Inputs greenhouse trials reported nano phosphate produced from Cummins Range rock phosphate delivered up to approximately 400 percent higher phosphorus use efficiency compared with conventional MAP fertiliser in selected test conditions.
The Cummins Range Mineral Resource stands at 524 million tonnes at 0.31 percent TREO and 4.6 percent phosphate, containing 1.6 million tonnes of total rare earth oxides and approximately 24 million tonnes of phosphate.
Next steps include Phase Two flotation optimisation at SGS Lakefield targeting finer grind sizes, staged grinding, and collector chemistry. Gega Elements will develop the gallium recovery flowsheet and evaluate scandium and niobium pathways. Biological Inputs will complete second round nano phosphate synthesis testing, with a collaboration agreement and larger scale field trials to follow subject to satisfactory results.
