Kaoko Metals Limited (ASX:KAO) | High Grade Copper & Tungsten confirmed at Karibib
Episode: Kaoko Metals Limited (ASX:KAO) – Karibib Exploration Update, 16 July 2026
Kaoko Metals Limited has released initial assay results from its first reconnaissance rock chip sampling program at the Karibib Project in Namibia, reporting high grade copper, gold, silver and tungsten assay results across multiple prospects.
Key results from 54 rock chip samples:
Up to 4.90% copper
Up to 0.852 grams per tonne gold
Up to 46 grams per tonne silver
Up to 0.680% tungsten trioxide
10 samples returned above 1% copper, including 3 samples above 2% copper
11 samples returned above 0.1% tungsten trioxide
Standout polymetallic sample: 3.19% copper, 0.852 grams per tonne gold, 46 grams per tonne silver and 0.484% tungsten trioxide.
This episode examines the initial sampling results, the commencement of the company's project scale geochemical program at Karibib, and the parallel progress toward maiden diamond drilling at its separate Chalkos Project in Namibia.
What changed: The company has progressed from verifying historical mineral occurrences to systematic, project scale geochemical sampling designed to identify and rank future drill targets. The geochemical program commenced on 14 July 2026 and initially targets a 3 kilometre trend within an exploration licence covering 24,960 hectares, or approximately 250 square kilometres.
Near term milestone: Maiden diamond drilling at the separate Chalkos Project is expected to commence in approximately three weeks, initially targeting the Donkey Hill and Otniel prospects.
Team update: Callum Standing has been appointed Consulting Geologist, effective 3 August 2026.
Important context: These are surface rock chip assay results only. No drilling results have been reported. No Mineral Resource estimate has been declared. The company states the data spacing is insufficient to establish geological continuity, and selective sampling introduces some sampling bias. No economic study, funding arrangement or commercial agreement has been announced.
What to watch: Results from the Karibib geochemical program, drill target prioritisation, and the commencement of maiden diamond drilling at the Chalkos Project.
