Nordic Resources (ASX:NNL) step-out drilling extends Kopsa gold-copper mineralisation

Nordic Resources (ASX:NNL) step-out drilling extends Kopsa gold-copper mineralisation

March 10, 2026 Off By MarketOpen

Nordic Resources has reported final assay results from its 2025 drilling campaign at the Kopsa gold-copper project in central Finland, with step-out holes extending mineralisation outside the current mineral resource estimate.

The results form part of a broader program designed to test strike and depth extensions within the Middle Ostrobothnia Gold Belt.

Highlights

  • Final assays from four diamond drill holes totalling 1,074m from the 2025 program at the Kopsa project in central Finland.
  • Three holes confirmed strike and depth extensions to the west and southwest of the Kopsa gold-copper deposit.
  • Strongest intersection reported in hole NRKOP25020 including 35m @ 0.67g/t Au and 0.09% Cu (0.77g/t AuEq) from 168m, with higher grade internal intervals.
  • Additional intersections include 13m @ 1.28g/t Au and 0.17% Cu (1.46g/t AuEq) from 233m and 18m @ 0.69g/t Au and 0.14% Cu (0.85g/t AuEq) from 269m.
  • A further intersection of 30m @ 0.44g/t Au and 0.12% Cu (0.56g/t AuEq) from 137m was recorded in hole NRKOP25021.
  • Step-out drilling is planned to continue to the southwest and north as part of the Spring 2026 drilling program.

The results mark the completion of assay reporting from the company’s maiden drill campaign at Kopsa.

The program focused primarily on testing extensions beyond the existing resource footprint, particularly toward the western and southwestern margins of the deposit.

Three of the four newly reported holes targeted potential strike and depth extensions of the mineralised system, while the fourth was drilled into a satellite target approximately 500m to the southwest.

Drilling confirmed that gold-copper mineralisation continues beyond the current resource boundary, with the strongest continuity observed toward the southwest.

In contrast, mineralisation to the west appears more limited and scattered, reflecting the southwesterly dip of the host tonalite intrusion that controls the deposit geometry.

Hole NRKOP25020 delivered the most substantial results, intersecting several mineralised intervals including a broad zone from 167.5m containing 34.6m @ 0.67g/t Au and 0.09% Cu (0.77g/t AuEq).

Higher grade sub-intervals included 1.3m @ 3.70g/t Au and 0.04% Cu. Additional mineralised zones deeper in the hole returned 12.8m @ 1.28g/t Au and 0.17% Cu (1.46g/t AuEq) from 232.5m.

The Kopsa deposit currently hosts a JORC (2012) compliant near-surface resource of 23.2Mt @ 1.09g/t AuEq for 814,800oz AuEq, forming the cornerstone of Nordic Resources’ broader Finnish portfolio.

Across the company’s three projects in the Middle Ostrobothnia Gold Belt, total resources stand at 34.3Mt @ 1.11g/t AuEq for 1.23Moz AuEq, including 1.04Moz of contained gold and 38kt of copper.

Executive Director Robert Wrixon noted the significance of the latest results within the project’s growth trajectory.

“These final results from the 2025 drilling continue the overall growth narrative at Kopsa, with particular upside potential seen to the south/southwest of the current resource. The Company intends to step-out further in these southern zones as part of the ongoing drilling, as well as targeting further continuity in the north. The Company looks forward to compiling all these new drill results into a significant resource update once the March-May 2026 drill program is completed”.

With the 2025 drilling results now fully reported, attention shifts to the next exploration phase.

Nordic has commenced a Spring 2026 drill program targeting additional step-out extensions, with assay results and metallurgical test outcomes expected by the end of Q2 2026.

The company intends to incorporate these results into an updated Kopsa resource estimate in Q3 2026.

For investors following emerging European gold districts, the Kopsa system continues to evolve through systematic step-out drilling, with the latest program reinforcing geological continuity beyond the current resource envelope while outlining new areas for potential resource expansion.
