Nordic Resources (ASX:NNL) reports further mineralised extensions at Kopsa

Nordic Resources has reported further drilling results from its Spring 2026 exploration program at the Kopsa gold copper project in central Finland.

Assay results from 3 additional diamond drill holes confirmed mineralised extensions beyond the current resource boundary.

The company also reported updated interpretation of historical electromagnetic survey data from the area of the recently reported northern high-grade zone and intends to conduct further downhole electromagnetic surveys to better define electromagnetic responses and assist drill targeting.

Highlights

The latest results comprise assays from 1 newly collared hole and 2 extensions to previously drilled holes, totalling 559m of diamond core.

According to the company, all 3 holes were drilled into gaps within the current resource block model and confirmed continuity of previously drilled mineralisation while extending the known mineralised lodes between 30m and 100m beyond the existing resource boundary.

The drilling targeted the northern contact of the host tonalite intrusive unit, where the company has reported mineralisation during its 2025 and 2026 drilling programs.

Extension hole NRKOP25005-ext intersected 2.0m @ 1.61g/t Au, 0.08% Cu, 1.69g/t AuEq and 2g/t Ag from 204.6m.

The hole also returned 54.6m @ 0.47g/t Au, 0.18% Cu, 0.67g/t AuEq and 2g/t Ag from 291.3m, including 4.5m @ 2.50g/t Au, 0.19% Cu, 2.70g/t AuEq and 5g/t Ag from 340m, followed by 15m @ 0.48g/t Au, 0.12% Cu, 0.61g/t AuEq and 3g/t Ag from 368.3m.

The company reported that this mineralised lode commenced more than 100m beyond the nearest part of the existing resource block model.

Additional results included 4.70m @ 0.82g/t Au, 0.17% Cu, 1.00g/t AuEq and 4g/t Ag from hole NGKOP22013-ext, together with 3.15m @ 1.21g/t Au, 0.40% Cu, 1.64g/t AuEq and 8g/t Ag from 101.2m, and 15.8m @ 0.41g/t Au, 0.33% Cu, 0.77g/t AuEq and 7g/t Ag from hole NRKOP26030.

The company also reported updated interpretation of historical fixed loop and borehole electromagnetic surveys from the area of the recently reported northern high-grade zone.

Nordic Resources stated that the modelled electromagnetic plates indicate a stronger electromagnetic response below hole NRKOP26024 than above it.

The company cautioned that geophysical results represent only 1 targeting vector, that enhanced electromagnetic responses may have other explanations and that interpretation of geophysical data involves modelling assumptions that can cause inaccuracies.

Nordic Resources intends to conduct downhole electromagnetic surveys in holes NRKOP25012B and NRKOP26024 to confirm the style of mineralisation that may be causing an electromagnetic response, better define any genuine electromagnetic responses in the zone and assist drill targeting for the next drilling program.

Nordic Managing Director Robert Wrixon said:

“Kopsa drilling continues to reveal additional mineralisation in the northern zone and along the northern contact of the host intrusion. The EM results provide an indication of potential continuity of the higher-grade zone at depth and this will be tested later this year,”

Kopsa currently hosts a JORC 2012 compliant Mineral Resource Estimate of 23.2Mt @ 1.09g/t AuEq for 814,800oz AuEq.

Across the company's 3 MOGB gold projects, the combined resource inventory stands at 34.3Mt @ 1.11g/t AuEq for 1.23Moz AuEq, including 1.04Moz of contained gold and 38kt of contained copper.

Nordic Resources confirmed that the material assumptions and technical parameters underpinning the Mineral Resource Estimates continue to apply and have not materially changed.

The company said assay results from the 3 step out holes drilled in the southwestern zone of the Kopsa deposit are expected shortly.

Metallurgical test work results are expected during Q3 2026. Nordic Resources intends to compile an updated Kopsa Mineral Resource Estimate once these results are obtained, and drilling is scheduled to recommence in 2 to 3 weeks.
