Nimy Resources (ASX:NIM) advances Mons Project with expanding sulphide discoveries in Western Australia

Nimy Resources (ASX:NIM) has made significant strides at its Mons Project in Western Australia, with recent drilling results indicating an increasingly promising discovery of massive sulphide mineralisation.

The Mons Project, located 140km north-northwest of Southern Cross, is an ambitious initiative spanning over 3004 km² across 17 approved tenements, strategically positioned within the mineral-rich Forrestania belt.

Recent developments at the Masson prospect within the Mons Project have been particularly noteworthy, with Nimy Resources announcing the successful completion of three drill holes targeting electromagnetic survey anomalies

These drills have not only confirmed the presence of mineralisation but have also revealed that the mineralised zone is expanding with depth, a critical indicator of the potential scale of the deposit.

The Executive Director of Nimy Resources, Luke Hampson, commented on the results, stating, “The Masson copper, nickel, cobalt, and PGE massive sulphide discovery is now building momentum in terms of potential volume and grade. The setting is quite unique to WA, being in gabbroic to doleritic rocks with intervals of more anorthositic rocks. Samples have been submitted for assay, and we eagerly await the results.”

The data emerging from these drill holes is compelling:

The final diamond hole, which is currently underway, aims to further test the dip and depth of the mineralisation and the results from this hole, expected early next week, could provide further clarity on the potential of the Masson prospect.

This discovery is particularly exciting given the geological setting of the Mons Project, characterised by a unique mix of gabbroic, doleritic, and anorthositic rocks in Western Australia.

The Masson prospect’s sulphide mineralisation is situated within these rock types, adding a layer of complexity and potential to the project.

Nimy Resources has submitted samples to Intertek for assay, with results expected within the next four to five weeks. These assays will be crucial in determining the grade and economic viability of the mineralisation discovered so far.

The developments at the Mons Project represent a significant step forward for Nimy Resources, with the expanding mineralised zone at Masson suggesting a project of considerable scale and value, especially as global demand for critical metals like nickel and cobalt continues to rise.

With further drilling and exploration planned, Nimy Resources is positioning itself as a key player in the Western Australian minerals sector, offering potential growth and returns for its stakeholders.
