Nimy Resources (ASX:NIM) makes ‘game changing’ discovery at Mons

Nimy Resources diamond drilling has struck a whopping 54m of nickel-copper sulphides at its Mons’ Block 2, part of the Mons’ project near Southern Cross in Western Australia,

The semi-massive mineralisation contains pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, and pyrite, corresponding with the modelled MLEM plate locations.

The company will conduct downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) and fixed loop electromagnetic (FLEM) surveys to better understand the intrusive’s size and locate related anomalies around and below the discovered sulphide zone.

“The intersection of 54m of substantial sulphide mineralisation is clearly a game-changer for Nimy,” Nimy Executive Director Luke Hampson said.

“Importantly, the result is entirely consistent with the conductor plates we have modelled using geophysics.

“In light of this result, we are moving quickly to do DHEM and FLEM surveys to gain further understanding of the size of the intrusive and to locate related anomalies around and below the discovered sulphide zone”

Assays are pending, and planning for down-hole EM is already underway.

About Nimy Resources

Nimy Resources is an exploration company focused on discovering and developing critical metals in Western Australia. The company’s priority is the Mons Project, a large land holding covering 2,806km² with 16 approved tenements. The project is located 140km north-northwest of Southern Cross and features potentially large-scale fertile “Kambalda-Style” and “Mt Keith-Style” nickel-rich komatiite sequences. Although primarily focused on Nickel, early indications suggest significant opportunities with other critical metals for the decarbonisation of our economy
