Manhattan Gold Corporation (ASX:MHC) reports further Jaws gold results
Manhattan Gold Corporation has reported its 2nd round of assay results from the Jaws target at the Hook Lake Project in Nunavut, Canada, where 4 drillholes intersected multiple gold zones and extended confirmed drilling more than 150m southwest.

JWS26005 returned 25.90m at 1.59g/t Au from 89.92m, including 6.10m at 3.62g/t Au from 96.01m.
JWS26004 returned 35.05m at 1.23g/t Au from 124.97m, including 9.14m at 2.52g/t Au from 144.78m.
JWS26006 returned 22.86m at 2.37g/t Au from 74.68m, including 1.52m at 26.8g/t Au from 94.49m.
JWS26003b confirmed stacked quartz veins through the main shear zone, 92m along strike from JWS26002.
Assays remain pending for another 12 RC drillholes, including 3 holes at Spectre and 1 hole at Lotus.
Jaws is the most advanced target within the Hook Lake Project, where diamond drilling conducted during the late 1980s defined a foreign estimate of 3.4Mt at 2.38g/t Au, containing approximately 285,000oz Au.
The estimate is not reported in accordance with the JORC Code 2012, and Manhattan states that a competent person has not completed sufficient work to classify it as Exploration Results, Mineral Resources or Ore Reserves under the code.
The 2026 drilling program was designed to confirm the gold mineralisation reported at Jaws, evaluate the historic drilling results and test underexplored sections of the main shear zone.
Drillholes were also positioned to assess stacked vein systems that were not previously intercepted because of the orientation of the historic drilling.
JWS26003b targeted a gap in the earlier drilling and returned several gold intervals, including 16.77 m at 1.33 g/t Au from 35.05 m, 12.2 m at 1.54 g/t Au from 115.82 m, including 3.04 m at 4.98 g/t Au from 120.40 m, and 15.24 m at 0.68 g/t Au from 164.59 m.
JWS26004, collared 66 m northwest of JWS26002 and drilled towards the southeast, returned 35.05 m at 1.23 g/t Au from 124.97 m, including 9.14 m at 2.52 g/t Au from 144.78 m, together with 6.09 m at 0.93 g/t Au from 216.41 m in the footwall veining.
JWS26005 expanded the drilled strike length to 154m and returned 25.90m at 1.59g/t Au from 89.92m, including 6.10m at 3.62g/t Au from 96.01m.
The hole also intersected 3.05m at 2.07g/t Au from 182.88m below the historic drilling.
JWS26006 tested the area above the previously reported JWS26006b and returned 22.86m at 2.37g/t Au from 74.68m, including 1.52m at 26.8g/t Au from 94.49m.
Manhattan reported that JWS26003b and JWS26006 returned thicker and higher grade intervals than the nearest drillholes completed in 1988.
Manhattan Technical Advisor Eric Sondergaard commented on the latest results and the remaining exploration program.
“The Jaws system remains open along strike and at depth.”
The latest drilling has changed the interpreted position of the main shear zone, with modern drilling indicating it is approximately 20 m to 30 m northwest of the position inferred from the reconstructed locations of the 1988 drillholes using georeferenced scans of paper maps.
The Hook Lake Project comprises 12 prospects covering 665km² within the underexplored Rankin-Ennadai greenstone belt, which also hosts Agnico Eagle’s Meliadine mine and BG Gold’s Vickers deposit.
Beyond Jaws, the project contains 11 additional targets, including the Spectre volcanogenic massive sulphide target and the Lotus precious metals target.
Historic drilling at Spectre returned 10.51m at 2.91% Cu, 6.70% Zn, 95.67g/t Ag and 1.04g/t Au from 41.76m in GMX-01.
Lotus had not previously been drill tested, while rock chip sampling completed in 2025 returned results including 8.01g/t Au and 2,660g/t Ag.
Manhattan has completed more than 3,000m of drilling at Hook Lake, with assays pending for JWS26008, 3 holes at Spectre and the 1st hole at Lotus.
A regional till sampling program has commenced, and the resulting geochemical information will be integrated with structural targets interpreted from the completed magnetic survey.
Integration of the project data is scheduled for Q4 2026 and will inform planning for the 2027 field program.
