Kingsland (ASX:KNG) hit thickest graphite yet at Leliyn

Kingsland Minerals have intercepted 79m of high-grade graphite up to 10.5% TGC at its Lelilyn graphite project in the Northern Territory.

It is the thickest intercept with an impressive top-grade stretch part of 285m @ 6.1% TGC.

Wide and high-grade graphitic schists, measuring up to 100 meters in width, have been confirmed through 53 RC and 11 diamond core holes over 20 kilometers.

This is yet another promising confirmation of the project’s potential scale, following the exceptional intercepts of 206 meters and 209 meters in the northwestern part of the target area, confirming the schist’s grades and continuity back in September.

Kingsland Managing Director Richard Maddocks said the latest results confirm the massive scale of the Leliyn Graphite Project ahead of the Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate.
“The latest assays contain more remarkable results, continuing the pattern of very wide and high-grade intersections seen throughout the drilling program,”

“The results clearly demonstrate that Leliyn is a world-class graphite prospect, with several high grade drilling intersections more than 200m in length.

“With metallurgical test-work and mineral resource estimation now progressing, we arelooking forward to an exciting few months.

“The growing demand for graphite and incoming graphite export controls from China are all contributing to an outstanding future for the Leliyn Project in the Northern Territory.”

Kingsland drilling has finished for the year before the wet season, with 3 diamond holes and 4 RC holes pending assay results.

The next step is to conduct metallurgical test work to confirm that the commercial-grade concentrate is progressing. Drilling is planned for next year in areas where gaps exist
