Iron ore leads sustained gains

The S&P/ASX200 finished last week, gaining 21.60points or 0.30% to 7,179.60 and setting a new 100-day high.

The top performing stocks in this index are FORTESCUE METALS GROUP LTDand CHAMPION IRON LIMITED, up 8.95%and 7.40% respectively.

Over the last five days, the index has gained 3.55%, but is down 3.56% for the last year to date.
