Iceni Gold (ASX:ICL) showcases expanding mineralisation at Laverton’s Guyer Trend

The Guyer Trend within Iceni Gold’s (ASX:ICL) 14 Mile Well Project continues to gain momentum, revealing a potentially transformational story for gold exploration in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields.

This underexplored belt is shaping up as a hotspot for significant mineralisation, especially as Iceni Gold accelerates exploration with the backing of Gold Road Resources (ASX:GOR).

Highlights:

The Golden Opportunity

At the core of the Guyer Trend lies a distinctive granite-greenstone contact, historically considered a geochemical “black box” due to its cover of transported overburden.

Iceni’s aircore drilling has peeled back the veil, revealing a gold anomaly of impressive proportions—1100m wide and 2500m long at Guyer North.

Managing Director Wade Johnson commented,

“The dimensions of the Guyer bedrock gold anomaly keep on expanding… Our exploration in 2024 has laid the foundations for a big and successful year at the 14 Mile Well Project, with the immediate focus being Guyer.”

These results suggest the Guyer Trend could host a large-scale gold system, with many gold intercepts at the end of holes hinting at untapped depths

Partnership Power

The partnership with Gold Road provides not only financial backing but also an endorsement of Guyer’s prospectivity. Under the agreement, Gold Road has committed to a minimum $5 million in exploration spending.

For Iceni, this collaboration fast-tracks resource definition without diluting its broader exploration ambitions across 850 km² of prime territory.

The Road Ahead

With RC drilling imminent, Iceni aims to evaluate primary mineralisation beneath the anomalies.

A diamond drilling campaign is also under consideration to refine the structural understanding.

As the gold industry eyes new frontiers, Iceni Gold stands out by demonstrating how modern techniques can unlock the potential of previously overlooked geology.

For investors and stakeholders, the upcoming year promises to be pivotal as Iceni delves deeper into the golden thread running through Guyer.
