Hartshead Resources (ASX:HHR) finds its path at Anning and Sommerfield

Hartshead Resources will tender pipeline engineering contracts after completing a critical offtake routes survey for gas production from the Anning and Somerville fields.

Survey data from the commissioned “Ocean Observer” vessel will give a detailed understanding of the seabed conditions to assist in the pipelay for gas transportation.

The company reports a staggering 1000 km of seismic lines run, 52 Cone Penetration Tests, and 23 Vibrocores to help define the seabed status.

Additionally, 27 seabed samples and camera transects will identify any habitats and provide input to the environmental baseline survey.

Meanwhile, five subsea contractors have received EPCI contract tenders.

“We would like to thank the team involved in performing the survey work with extreme diligence and attention to safety, working in rapidly changing weather conditions and showing remarkable flexibility when changes to the programme were required,” Hartshead COO Keith Bush said.

“The data gathered will allow us to progress the Environmental Statement as planned and ensure that tenders for the pipeline contracts reflect the real conditions on the seabed.”
