Great Boulder (ASX:GBR) high rolling at Side Well

Great Boulder Resources has reported 5 metres of gold at 51.65g/t and another hole with an impressive 193.50g/t Au over 1m during recent RC drilling at the Side Well Gold Project near Meekatharra in Western Australia.

Assays from drilling in July explore test strike and depth extensions of mineralisation and infill areas where the previous drilling had missed interpreted lodes.

Ironbark strike extends to over 500m and remains open to north and south, with RC drilling ongoing in the Mulga Bill corridor with planning underway for the fourth phase of RC drilling at Ironbark.

The Company said the third phase of drilling had exceeded our expectations, with the high-grade intersections demonstrating the potential for a future open pit or underground mining.

These are the highest grades we’ve yet seen at Ironbark, comparable to some of our best results at Mulga Bill,” Managing Director Andrew Paterson said.

“We have extended the strike to more than 500m with a shallow intersection in the northernmost hole, which means it remains open along the strike and at depth.”

“Planning is now underway for more RC drilling to continue testing the strike of Ironbark and also looking at possible plunge orientations for the high-grade shoots.”

Results

RC drilling continues at Side Well, with the rig rotating between programs at Mulga Bill and Flagpole. A fourth round of drilling at Ironbark is planned and will be completed in the coming months.

Meanwhile, infill auger sampling has now been completed over priority areas within the Ironbark South stratigraphy, bringing the sample spacing into a 200 by 50m grid.

The Company says this spacing will allow prioritisation of drill targets for AC testing once DMIRS and heritage clearances are received.
