Great Bear Exploration (ASX:GBL) 2,800km² copper, gold, silver and uranium project in Northwest Territories, Canada

Great Bear Exploration has outlined its Great Bear CU-AU-AG-U Project located in the Northwest Territories, Canada, comprising a licence area of more than 2,800km² and covering copper, gold, silver and uranium mineralisation within the Great Bear Lake region.

Highlights

The Great Bear CU-AU-AG-U Project is located in the Northwest Territories within the Great Bear Lake region, an area with recorded historical mining activity across uranium, silver, copper and associated metals.

The project covers a licence area of more than 2,800km² and is situated within proximity to established mining infrastructure and historic operations in the district.

According to the company presentation, the region includes historic production from the Eldorado, Echo Bay and Contact Lake mines, which collectively contributed to recorded output of 13,700,000 pounds of uranium oxide (U3O8), 34,300,000 ounces of refined silver, and 11,377,040 pounds of copper with gold credits, with additional historical production referenced in the district including nickel, cobalt and lead.

The project area is described as hosting multiple mineralisation styles including iron-oxide copper-gold (IOCG), epithermal and skarn systems containing copper, gold, silver and uranium.

The presentation notes that geological and exploration datasets from historical programs exist across the region, with recent academic work contributing to reinterpretation of the Great Bear Magmatic Zone within a broader IOCG context.

Exploration information presented includes rock chip sampling results from multiple target areas such as Phoenix, Coyote and Slider, with reported results including copper grades up to 42.6%, gold values up to 42.6 g/t, and silver values including 121 g/t and higher in selected samples.

The presentation also includes geophysical datasets identifying resistivity and conductive anomalies across multiple target zones, including depth extensions reported in selected areas.

The company presentation outlines ongoing exploration activity across the Great Bear Project, including target generation, ground truthing of geophysical anomalies and drilling preparation across multiple prospect areas.

The project is also supported by an exploration agreement with the Délı̨nę Got’ı̨nę Government, which enables expanded exploration access across parts of the project area.
