Gorilla Gold (ASX:GG8) reports high-grade drilling results at Comet Vale within North Kalgoorlie Hub

Gorilla Gold has reported new drilling results from its 100% owned Comet Vale Gold Project in Western Australia, part of the North Kalgoorlie Hub which hosts 1.2Moz @ 3.7g/t Au.

The results are from ongoing growth drilling at the Sovereign Deposit and form part of a broader programme aimed at expanding the company’s resource base across the hub.

Highlights

The reported intercepts are derived from drilling at the Sovereign Deposit within the Comet Vale Project, located approximately 100km north of Kalgoorlie.

The project forms part of the North Kalgoorlie Hub, which comprises the Comet Vale and Mulwarrie Projects and is situated on granted Mining Licences with proximity to existing milling and transport infrastructure.

The Comet Vale Project has a Mineral Resource Estimate of 0.86Moz @ 3.7g/t Au and has recorded historical production of >200koz @ >20g/t Au, with the Sovereign Deposit the largest and highest-grade individual deposit within the project, hosting 410,000oz @ 4.3g/t Au over a strike length of 1.3km.

Mineralisation at Sovereign is hosted within quartz veins associated with pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite-sphalerite-galena sulphide development, often with visible gold.

Mineralised zones occur within shear zones at the margins of lithological contacts, adjacent to a major stratigraphic change from mafic to ultramafic lithologies.

Gorilla Gold Chief Executive Officer Charles Hughes said,

“Our 2026 exploration campaign is now really moving up a gear as the flow of assay results begins to accelerate, with the cornerstone Sovereign Deposit at Comet Vale delivering multiple impressive high-grade hits.”

He added that Sovereign hosts 410,000oz @ 4.3g/t Au over 1.3km of strike and that drilling has identified multiple parallel lodes developing around the contact of two major lithological units.

Exploration activity is ongoing across the North Kalgoorlie Hub, with three drill rigs active at Comet Vale undertaking discovery and definition drilling, including completed reverse circulation drilling at the Sovereign East and Lakeview South targets.

Two drill rigs are active at the Mulwarrie Project undertaking growth drilling, and one drill rig is operating at the Vivien Project targeting new discoveries.

In addition to drilling, definition work including engineering, geotechnical, metallurgical and hydrological studies is in progress, alongside development work including permitting, with results from current drilling programmes expected on an ongoing basis, noting laboratory turnaround times.

The company has planned 150,000m of drilling across its three key projects in 2026, with near-term activity focused on continued drilling, receipt of assay results, and progression of technical studies across the North Kalgoorlie Hub.
