Gorilla Gold (ASX:GG8) reports Sovereign footwall growth

Gorilla Gold Mines has reported drilling results and an updated geological interpretation from its 100% owned Comet Vale Gold Project, located 100km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia, where the Sovereign footwall system is now interpreted over more than 1km of strike.

Highlights

The Comet Vale Project forms part of Gorilla Gold’s North Kalgoorlie Hub, which has a Mineral Resource base of 1,200,000oz at 3.7g/t Au and more than 60km of high priority drill targets.

The hub comprises the Comet Vale and Mulwarrie projects, both located on granted mining licences and close to milling and transport infrastructure.

Gorilla Gold added more than 1,000,000oz to the North Kalgoorlie Hub resource base during 2025 by progressively drilling its pipeline of exploration targets.

The company’s strategy is to discover further gold resources, define those resources and develop the project.

Comet Vale has a Mineral Resource Estimate of 0.86Moz at 3.7g/t Au and has delivered historical gold production of more than 200,000oz at more than 20g/t Au, with underground mining operations occurring as recently as 2020.

The project lies within granted mining leases, adjacent to the Goldfields Highway and within 100km of multiple operational gold mills.

The company has identified a 10km by 3km zone of interrelated structural deformation and mineralisation zones, within which the Sovereign, King Kong and Silverback shear zones are situated.

Mineralisation at Sovereign is hosted within quartz veins associated with pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite and galena sulphide development, often with visible gold.

The mineralised zones form within shear zones at the margins of lithological contacts, adjacent to a major stratigraphic change from mafic to ultramafic lithologies.

The footwall discovery sits at the boundary of this stratigraphic change, which is traceable across multiple kilometres of strike.

Updated geological interpretation has linked several intercepts to the same footwall position, including 9.3m at 20.6g/t Au from 414.8m, previously reported in May 2026, and 4.0m at 3.2g/t Au from 244.0m, the southernmost intercept in the footwall lode, located 150m south and 200m up dip of the May 2026 intercept.

A historical interval located 1,000m north and 300m up dip of the May 2026 result was resampled and reported as 7.0m at 10.2g/t Au from 83.0m.

The announcement states that the revised interpretation reflects new drilling and a review and reinterpretation of existing drill data.

Gorilla Gold Chief Executive Officer Charles Hughes commented:

“The latest result of 2.8m @ 31.0g/t Au is approximately 600 metres north of the original discovery intercept in STEX172, while our review of historical data has unearthed a previously unreported intercept of 0.6m @ 86.2g/t Au along the same emerging trend.”

The Sovereign Mineral Resource Estimate stands at 410,000oz at 4.3g/t Au, with all reported intercepts representing downhole lengths and true widths not yet determined, while assay results have been length weighted using a 0.5g/t Au cut off grade.

Multiple rigs are operating across the North Kalgoorlie Hub and Vivien projects, targeting multiple high priority growth targets.

Results are expected on an ongoing basis, although assay laboratory turnaround times are currently slower than usual because of higher demand for laboratories within the industry.

Engineering, geotechnical, metallurgical and hydrological studies are continuing. Development work is currently focused on project permitting.
