GNM fills Golden Cup in Queensland

Great Northern Minerals (ASX: GNM) has intersected high-grade gold up to 14.3g/t at its Golden Cup mine just 15 kilometres from the Company’s exciting extension exploration work at its 14,000 oz historical grade Camel Creek project in Northern Queensland.

RC drilling consisting of 11 holes from 1,022m intersected the stellar grade over 2m accompanied by consistent solid results, including 4.6g/t Au for 7m, 7.4g/t for 6m and 11.3g/t for 3m.

Golden Cup Long Section

The Company said steep south plunging gold shoots consistent with historical exploration would provide “obvious” areas for targeted future drilling.

“The Golden Cup assay results confirm that GNM’s recent drilling program intersected high grade gold mineralisation in multiple holes and that the deposit remains open at depth, CEO and Managing Director Cameron McLean said.

“The consistent gold intercepts follow natural extension of historical pits.

“With this phase of drilling at Golden Cup complete, we turn our attention to drilling our exciting Douglas Creek target”.
