Flynn Gold (ASX:FG1) firetower drilling extends gold tungsten mineralisation beyond 200m vertical depth
Flynn Gold has reported the first drill assay results from its 2026 Firetower diamond drilling program in northern Tasmania, with drill hole 2019FTD014E extending high grade gold tungsten copper mineralisation at least 80m below previous drilling.
The hole returned 9.64m @ 2.49g/t Au, 0.29% WO₃, 0.52% Cu, 0.04% Co and 9.9g/t Ag from 200.13m, with the current drilling program combining resource growth and in fill drilling with metallurgical sampling to support Mineral Resource evaluation.

Drill hole 2019FTD014E returned 9.64m @ 2.49g/t Au, 0.29% WO₃, 0.52% Cu, 0.04% Co and 9.9g/t Ag from 200.13m.
The interval included 3.77m @ 4.30g/t Au, 0.30% WO₃, 0.37% Cu, 0.13% Co and 11.24g/t Ag from 200.13m.
A further interval returned 1.47m @ 4.62g/t Au, 1.10% WO₃, 2.20% Cu, 0.07% Co and 29.42g/t Ag from 208.3m.
Gold tungsten mineralisation has been confirmed beyond 200m vertical depth and remains open at depth and along strike.
Three diamond drill holes totalling approximately 520m have been completed as part of the planned 1,600m drilling program.
The Firetower Project is an advanced stage polymetallic gold tungsten project located in northern Tasmania and is 100% owned by Flynn Gold.
The 2026 diamond drilling program is targeting extensions of the high grade polymetallic gold tungsten mineral system through a combination of extensional and in fill drilling, while also collecting representative core for metallurgical testwork to support future Mineral Resource studies.
The reported results are from drill hole 2019FTD014E, an extension of historical hole 2019FTD014, where Flynn Gold re entered and extended the original hole from an end of hole depth of 163.0m to a new end of hole depth of 278.15m, completing an additional 115.15m of drilling.
The extension intersected a broad polymetallic mineralised interval, with assays received for the priority mineralised zone between 183.65m and 215.65m.
The mineralised interval in 2019FTD014E comprises multiple discrete high grade gold tungsten zones within a broader polymetallic mineralised envelope.
The hole intersected mineralisation approximately 83m down dip of hole 2019FTD007E, confirming continuity of the Firetower mineral system beyond 200m vertical depth from surface.
Flynn Gold Managing Director and CEO Neil Marston said,
“These impressive first assay results represent another significant step in defining the scale of the Firetower mineral system, significantly strengthening our confidence that high-grade gold and tungsten continues at depth below previous drilling.”
The Firetower Project lies within the north eastern extension of the Mt Read Volcanics, with mineralisation comprising polymetallic Au Co W Cu hosted in altered volcaniclastic rocks.
Flynn Gold reported that drilling completed by the Company and previous explorers has demonstrated continuity of polymetallic mineralisation over a strike length of approximately 250m and up to 200m vertical depth from surface, with the system remaining open along strike and at depth.
Three drill holes totalling approximately 520m have been completed as part of the planned 1,600m drilling program.
Assay results are pending from additional diamond drill holes FT 2026 001 and 2019FTD015E.
The Company’s planned activities for the remainder of 2026 include continued drilling, metallurgical testwork, geological modelling leading to a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate and review of historical geophysical surveys across the Firetower Project area.
