EV Resources (ASX:EVR) sample a high grade taste of la Cienaga

EV Resources have gotten an early high-grade look at its la Cienaga Copper-Gold Project, and systematic sampling has come home with enviable average values from the Buckskin Mountains of central Arizona.

Average grades came in at 0.88% copper, 2.51g/t gold, and 5.61g.t silver from 119 samples, with a top gold assay of 83.87g/t gold, 2.9% copper and 7.7g/t silver coming from the project’s recently pegged Eagle Zone.

There are more than 4000 metres of underground workings at the Eagle Zone, but with most developments occurring before the Titanic, there is minimal reporting to be found on its past productivity.

What records, maps, and sections were kept have been now integrated into a working 3D model and the company has observed numerous vein threads extending southwest and a nearby basement detachment fault to explore.

Early exploration at the New Standard Project Area found mineralisation to be patchy and discontinuous, and EVR has dropped the position to go West.

The western portion holds more intriguing mineralisation related to both low-angle zones and the sub-vertical structures which host volcanic-related mineralisation and has so far yielded an average sample value of 2.76g/t gold.

EVR is plotting a more detailed sampling and trenching campaign at la Cienaga before circling in on targets for the drill.

The Perth-based company got cashed up to accelerate its American copper exploration, and also has a pair of Peruvian assets to advance as the nation looks to get its production back on track, and the world looks for a bridge to impending shortfalls.
