Dundas Minerals (ASX:DUN) consolidates Kalgoorlie gold holdings
Dundas Minerals has acquired 9 prospecting licences contiguous with its existing Kalgoorlie district projects, consolidating its holdings along the Bardoc gold trend, 40km to 50km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
Highlights
9 gold licences were acquired under 2 separate agreements.
Historical drilling at Gemini returned 2m at 26.68g/t Au from 35m.
The package comprises 3 Gemini licences and 6 Windanya licences.
Programmes of Work have been approved for Capricorn, Rockland and the ground between them.
A drilling contractor has been engaged, with drilling scheduled to commence in late September 2026.
A Programme of Work has also been approved at Baden-Powell.
The Gemini package comprises prospecting licences P24/5796, P24/5797 and P24/5798, which were granted on 31 August 2025.
Dundas acquired the licences outright from a private vendor for total cash consideration of $70,000, funded from existing cash reserves.
P24/5798 contains the Gemini prospect, while P24/5797 contains the Blue Reef prospect and multiple historical gold mine workings.
The Windanya package comprises licences P24/5800 to P24/5805, acquired under the original Black Mountain Option Agreement, which were granted on 3 July 2026 and transferred following registration by the Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration on 19 August 2026.
Consideration payable for the package has been settled under the original Option Agreement announced on 30 August 2023.
Historical exploration on ground now covered by the acquired Gemini licences comprised 11 aircore holes for 623m and 7 reverse circulation holes for 673m, with reported intercepts including 2m at 26.68g/t Au from 35m, comprising 1m at 39.71g/t Au and 1m at 13.66g/t Au, as well as 2m at 8.66g/t Au from 38m and 3m at 4.19g/t Au from 53m.
Dundas Managing Director Jonathan Downes said,
“Gemini brings historical high-grade gold results - 2m at 26.68 g/t Au - that warrant follow-up down the interpreted southerly plunge, located between mineralisation that remains open and ground that has simply never seen a drill bit.”
Dundas has reconciled the reported intercepts against the primary digital assay data lodged with the Department.
The company has not independently verified the original sampling and analytical procedures, while all reported intervals are downhole lengths and true widths are not known.
Of the 11 aircore holes drilled, 10 returned no significant results, with the reported aircore mineralisation confined to 1 hole, while the 7 reverse circulation holes occupied a cluster measuring approximately 45m by 45m and the mineralisation at Gemini has not been tested along strike.
Dundas intends to reinterpret the historical information together with soil geochemistry and geophysical datasets.
Subject to that work, follow-up drilling is proposed to test the interpreted southerly plunge, extend drilling beyond the existing reverse circulation cluster and test bedrock beneath shallow historical aircore drilling.
The extent of any possible extensions is conceptual. Insufficient exploration has been completed to estimate a Mineral Resource, and it is uncertain whether further exploration will result in a Mineral Resource estimate.
The historical results support Dundas’ interpretation of a prospective north to south structural corridor extending approximately 3km through Capricorn and Aquarius to the identified mineralisation at Rockland.
Continuity between the prospects has not been established by drilling and is a priority target for forthcoming programmes.
Previously reported results include 3m at 6.9g/t Au from 138m, 2m at 3.3g/t Au from 59m and 6m at 1.0g/t Au from 69m at Rockland, 3m at 10.2g/t Au from 109m, including 1m at 29.6g/t Au from 109m, from earlier drilling at Aquarius, and 3m at 9.14g/t Au from 114m from the southernmost drilling line at Capricorn.
Dundas plans follow-up drilling at Rockland and extensional and infill drilling at Capricorn and Baden-Powell. Drilling is also planned between Rockland and Capricorn, while work at Gemini remains subject to the company’s near term drilling commitments across those projects.
