Comet Lithium (TSXV:CLIC) ready to launch at Liberty

The wildfires which put an abrupt halt to minerals exploration one the world’s most exciting frontiers are over, and Toronto Venture Exchange-listed Comet Lithium is fast-advancing to the first ever drilling at a fully owned Liberty project in one of the most intriguing ends of the world-class geology which has come to define James Bay.

The ASX-listed land rush into the James Bay is well known, and in the wake of early discoveries came a posse of miners looking to make their own mark and convert investor attention into meterage with the drill.

But Quebeckers know the lay of their own land. Comet Lithium Liberty property is perched between Winsome Adina project to the left and recent Midlands / Rio Tinto outcrop discovery to the right, with Loyal Lithium’s further east. Comet Lithium Liberty property is on the same trend, with exceptional geological potential for a major discovery.

Regional geophysics suggested the possibility of a significant fault corridor or shear feature which could control spodumene mineralisation, extending eastward from Adina and passing right through Liberty.

That is where the Comet drill is likely to make its first mark. Early activity identified numerous glacial boulders and an exploration program which collected over ~500 rock and soil samples quickly transitioned into a survey to further advance targets to drill-readiness.

As a sought-after lithium investor and mining executive, Mansoor Jan had written about the serious potential at Liberty, and has now been appointed as Comet’s Interim President and CEO to put a focus on experienced leadership on the verge of its seminal campaign.

While better known as a man of maps and probabilities, and likely a little too bright for a career as a writer, Jan gave his inaugural address at the Comet helm about the tangible, positive impact that battery mineral exploration can have.

“As the Interim CEO of Comet Lithium, I’m proud to lead a team pioneering the clean energy movement. Our vision is clear: harness lithium’s potential to craft a greener future,” he said.

“Each day, we’re driven by our duty to both stakeholders and future generations. Our focus isn’t just extraction but ensuring eco-friendly processes, advanced technology, and lasting positive impact.”

“Lithium is a symbol of hope in the evolving energy landscape. At Comet Lithium, we are tremendously excited about the discovery potential of our 100%-owned Liberty Property.”

Planning and permitting has now begun for the maiden campaign and is now getting set to provide Comet’s first proper look into Liberty’s lithium lustre.
