Brookside (ASX:BRK) get good flow at Juanita

Brookside Energy has achieved a successful production test of secondary target sand in the Simpson Group at the Juanita Well in the Bradbury Area of Interest (AOI), part of the Arbuckle Uplift with the Ardmore Basin in Oklahoma. .

The newly tested AOI well has recorded an encouraging rate of 258 BOEPD (78% Oil).

Currently, the zone has been temporarily shut-in, and production plans are being optimised based on the success of this production test and a previously successful test of a lower horizon –the lower horizon had a peak rate of 329 BOEPD (75% Oil).

The Black Mesa team is now developing scenarios for these two zones, and production will initially focus on them. Testing of the remaining horizons will occur in the future.

“We are once again pleased to report these very encouraging test results from our Juanita Well, our first well in this new AOI. These results come on the back of the earlier positive results from the test of the deeper primary target,” Managing Director David Prentice said.

“The team are now busy working on the plan to establish commercial production from these two zones and we look forward to providing further updates as production and sales are established.”
