Balkan Mining and Minerals (ASX:BMM) unveils ‘visible spodumene’ pegmatites at Gorge
Balkan Mining and Minerals (ASX:BMM) has eyeballed pegmatites with visible spodumene at its first lithium-focused drill hole at Gorge lithium project in Ontario, Canada, in the project’s Nelson target.Visible spodumene of about 5% to 15% content was sent from a 7.6m depth at Nelson.
Balkan Managing Director Ross Cotton said the company the company’s Nelson prospect was among many other targets worth investigating at Gorge lithium project, including Koshman.
“Our exploration team is extremely pleased to have intersected visible spodumene at the Nelson pegmatite in our very first drill hole from the Gorge lithium project. This is only the start of our drilling activity targeting pegmatite occurrences which have been identified from field work,” Balkan MD Cotton said.
Another yet-unnamed target at the Ontario explorer’s project also featured newly identified SP-23-2 pegmatites.
Drilling results from all assays are expected by the start of December.
