Arizona Lithium (ASX: AZL) enters final phase at the Prairie Pilot
November 23, 2023Arizona Lithium is testing brine material from the Prairie Lithium Project to evaluate DLE technology on its pilot brine lithium plant in Saskatchewan, Canada.
The proof-of-concept pilot facility is the vital final step of the company’s PFS as it anticipates the development of the Big Sandy and Prairie brine projects in North America.
The final testing begins as the first two shipments of 2,500 L lithium concentrate arrive at the Lithium Research Center (LRC), where they will undergo further conversion to high-purity lithium end products.
Meanwhile, the company has identified ground for the first commercial facility.
“Having recently visited the pilot plant operations in Saskatchewan, I am confident in our team’s ability to continue to execute the required operations over the coming months,” Arizona Lithium Managing Director Paul Lloyd said.
“Everyone is working very hard to ensure that we can quickly translate that information into commercial design as we continue to push towards commercial production in 2025.”
