American Tungsten & Antimony has announced a series of appointments to support the advancement of its U.S.-based critical minerals portfolio, covering antimony and tungsten projects in Utah and Nevada.

The company stated that these appointments strengthen its technical leadership, corporate governance and compliance capability as it progresses exploration and development activities across its U.S. assets.

The company confirmed the appointment of David Groombridge as Exploration Manager USA, with responsibility for planning and executing exploration programmes across its U.S. portfolio, including activities at the Antimony Canyon Project in Utah and its tungsten projects located in Utah and Nevada.

Mr Groombridge is a geoscientist with more than 20 years experience across mineral exploration, resource development and project evaluation.

His prior roles include Exploration Manager at Medallion Metals, Chief Executive Officer of Riedel Resources and Senior Geologist at Silver Lake Resources, now a subsidiary of Red 5.

The company stated that he has experience working across tungsten and polymetallic systems, including the evaluation of structurally controlled and intrusion related mineralisation styles.

In addition, the company has engaged SRK Consulting (Australasia) Pty Ltd to provide independent Competent Person services in accordance with the JORC Code 2012 Edition and ASX Listing Rules.

Under this engagement, Mr Cael Gniel, Senior Consultant, will act as Competent Person in the first instance, with Mr Danny Kentwell, Principal Consultant, providing peer review and back up Competent Person responsibility.

Both are defined as Competent Persons under the JORC Code 2012 Edition.

SRK is described as an independent international consultancy formed in 1974, employing approximately 1,800 staff across more than 40 offices in 20 countries, owned by its staff, and not holding equity in any project, with consultants providing objective technical advice.

In Australia, SRK employs more than 130 people across offices in Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Newcastle.

Managing Director Andre Booyzen said the appointments support the company’s advancement of its U.S. portfolio:

The company outlined near term activities following these appointments, including advancement of exploration programmes across its U.S. projects, including drilling at Antimony Canyon, Tennessee Mountain and Fraction Lode.

Additional work includes continued development of its antimony and tungsten hub and spoke strategy, target generation and prioritisation across its tungsten portfolio, including Nightingale, Sage Hen and Dutch Mountain, and strengthening of its U.S. operational and corporate capability.
