Alligator Energy (ASX:AGE) extends uranium mineralisation 600m south of Blackbush

Alligator Energy has reported new drilling results from the Samphire Uranium Project, where drilling on recently accessible ground south of the Blackbush deposit has intersected uranium mineralisation, extending the mineralised trend onto the Mullaquana Crown Lease by a further 600m.

The company is also progressing delineation drilling within Blackbush and has commenced infill drilling at Plumbush as part of its c. 300 hole drilling program.

The drilling program follows the company's recently announced call option to purchase the Mullaquana Crown Lease, which provides immediate access to drill the southern extension of Blackbush, Plumbush and the prospective corridor between the two deposits.

According to the company, the c. 300 hole program is designed to test the southern strike extension from Blackbush, undertake infill drilling at Plumbush, including closer spaced drilling required to convert the Inferred Mineral Resource to the Indicated category, and test the underexplored Blackbush Plumbush corridor.

The company has transitioned drilling activities to continual day shift drilling with two drill rigs to complete the program in Q4 2026.

At the southern extension of Blackbush, drilling has focused on testing the continuation of the mineralisation trend that remained open following drilling undertaken in 2024.

According to the company, drilling has mapped uranium mineralisation up to 600m south of existing drilling and delineated the western extent of the palaeochannel boundary.

Reported intersections include BBRM26 472 with 3.2m at 0.12% (1,189ppm) eU₃O₈ from 54.6m, BBRM26 482 with 5.0m at 0.13% (1,299ppm) eU₃O₈ from 63.6m, BBRM26 484 with 2.4m at 0.20% (2,025ppm) eU₃O₈ from 61.0m and BBRM26 479 with 4.3m at 0.11% (1,123ppm) eU₃O₈ from 56.0m.

The company notes that all reported widths are downhole widths and that equivalent uranium grades are derived from calibrated downhole natural gamma logging rather than chemical assays.

At Plumbush, drilling has commenced following publication of the inaugural JORC 2012 compliant Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate.

The program will progressively reduce drill spacing from approximately 200m to 400m to between 25m and 50m, with the objective of generating sufficient geological confidence for the Mineral Resource to be considered for conversion to the Indicated category and potential inclusion in the Samphire Feasibility Study.

This is the first drilling undertaken at Plumbush since 2011.

Within the existing Blackbush Mineral Resource area, the company has completed a further 108 delineation holes targeting selected higher grade areas on drill spacing as close as 25m by 25m, with results to date correlating well with the current Mineral Resource model, according to the company.

The new information will be included in the forthcoming Blackbush Mineral Resource Estimate update anticipated in Q1/Q2 2027 and will support ongoing evaluation of wellfield layout in the mining areas considered in the Samphire Feasibility Study.

Intersecting uranium mineralisation approximately 600 metres further south of previous drilling expands the area available for systematic evaluation, while the closer spaced work within Plumbush is strengthening the geological dataset for the Feasibility Study."

The company plans to continue drilling until late Q4 2026 with two rigs operating on a continuous day shift basis.

According to the company, the next phase of the program will continue infill and extension drilling within the Blackbush Plumbush corridor, integrate drilling, geological and geophysical data into the planned Samphire Mineral Resource update for Q1/Q2 2027 and the Samphire Feasibility Study, and advance the feasibility study together with mine planning and approvals workstreams.
