Accelerate Resources (ASX:AX8) new high grade manganese zones at Woodie Woodie North
November 21, 2025Accelerate Resources has strengthened the exploration credentials of its Woodie Woodie North manganese project in the East Pilbara after fieldwork on a newly granted exploration licence delivered several high grade rock chip results and revealed a previously unrecognised 3.2 kilometre manganese corridor.
The work marks a meaningful expansion beyond the areas included in the company’s 2023 resource drilling program and introduces fresh ground with no prior drill testing.
Highlights
-
Rock chip assays returned up to 57.3 per cent manganese.
-
Forty eight of sixty five samples exceeded 40 per cent manganese across the Gingarrigan Corridor.
-
A newly identified 3.2 kilometre El Largo Corridor shows potential widths of up to 200 metres.
-
Historic sampling across the ridge returned grades above 20 per cent manganese with no recorded drilling.
-
Fieldwork due to resume to define priority targets.
Exploration concentrated on the Gingarrigan Corridor, where multiple prospects including Gingarrigan, Gingerbread, Ragdoll and Area 64 occur across roughly one kilometre of outcropping manganese mineralisation.
Sampling across this area yielded consistently strong results, with the majority of samples exceeding 40 per cent manganese and several individual assays surpassing 54 per cent.
These outcomes prompted Accelerate to secure high resolution aerial imagery for the entire tenement, allowing for more comprehensive structural interpretation and the identification of additional targets.
This imagery revealed the El Largo Corridor, encompassing Area 60, El Largo and Area 66, and forming what appears to be a continuous manganese bearing ridge that extends 1.6 kilometres from Area 60 to El Largo and continues for a further 1.6 kilometres into Area 66.
Surface outcrop indicates a potential width of up to 200 metres, and historic sampling along this ridge returned grades above 20 per cent manganese.
The area has not been drill tested, and some cliff exposures associated with earlier high grade results have not yet been examined.
Part of this corridor extends into ground that was vacant at the time of assessment and has since been pegged by Accelerate, consolidating the full strike extent of the interpreted horizon.
The new licence, E45/6603, sits outside the footprint of the 2023 maiden Mineral Resource Estimate, which stands at 1.2 million tonnes at 19.1 per cent manganese at a 15 per cent cut off across Areas 1, 3, 4 and 42.
That estimate, supported by both historical drilling and recent reverse circulation programs, is accompanied by exploration targets ranging from 5.3 to 10.7 million tonnes at 10 to 19 per cent manganese.
The latest sampling results therefore represent additions to the broader exploration picture rather than extensions of defined resources. As Accelerate Resources Chief Executive Officer Luke Meter notes,
“These exciting results confirm the presence of extensive, high grade manganese across the +1 km Gingarrigan Corridor and, importantly, have opened up a new 3.2 km long exploration front at El Largo that had not been recognised before.”
Woodie Woodie North comprises a 432 square kilometre tenure package located approximately 240 kilometres east of Port Hedland and 70 kilometres north of the operating Woodie Woodie manganese mine.
The project contains six mapped large scale manganese corridors extending over 35 kilometres of strike, and Accelerate has outlined a forward program that includes detailed mapping, additional sampling across the Gingarrigan and El Largo corridors, the integration of imagery and structural data, and follow up assessment of key exposures.
With fieldwork scheduled to resume in the final week of November, the company expects to refine priority targets for future drill testing.
These activities will provide further clarity on the scope and continuity of mineralisation within the newly identified areas and support ongoing evaluation of the project’s broader geological setting.
